Key Responsibilities:
Mission Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute UAV flights for inspections, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
- Operate drones equipped with cameras, sensors, and other data collection tools to capture high-resolution images and videos.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data from aerial inspections, identifying any issues or areas of concern.
- Utilize software tools to process and interpret data, creating detailed reports and actionable insights.
Maintenance and Calibration:
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of UAV equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drone operations and data collection.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on aviation regulations and industry standards to ensure all aerial operations are compliant.
- Obtain and maintain necessary certifications and licenses for UAV operation.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate aerial inspection data into project workflows.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on inspection findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in UAV operations and aerial inspections.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting in relevant industries (e.g., construction, energy, telecommunications).
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating UAVs and using related software (e.g., GIS, photogrammetry tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Certifications:
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (or equivalent certification in other regions).
- Additional certifications related to UAV operations and safety are a plus.
