Job Brief:
We are looking for a Database Administrator (Postgresql).
Designation:Database Administrator (Postgre)
Experience:5 to 9 Years of experience
Education: BE/ B. Tech in Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering or MCA or equivalent
Certifications: PostgreSQL Certification
Skills:
- Installing and configuring various databases, security patches etc
- In creation of database design
- In updating and amending existing databases
- In setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
- In monitoring database health efficiency
- In developing complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
- In gathering requirements of users and monitoring user access and security
- In performance and tuning of the database
- In installation and test new versions
- In maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data protection Act
- In writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata) control access permissions and privileges
- In development, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
- In storage and archiving procedures
- In creating Security plans and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
